Hello, I'm Isabella
Iām a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Florence, Italy.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn't in the master plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The opening months were demanding ā unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Routine chores seemed more challenging than expected.
The Adjustment Period
The adjustment phase brought culture shock, doubt, and hands-on learning. Gradually habits took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began crafting something that felt steady.
Why I Built MeadowTrailStudio
Much of the online guidance was high-level corporate relocation tips or shallow travel content. What was lacking was a frank, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that void with practical advice drawn from real family life in Italy.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is about:
- Hands-on experience from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when there is a real change
This site is not:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Italy goes on, and the learning journey continues. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue recording what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Florence or anywhere in Italy, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Isabella
